A custom orthotic is a device that aligns the foot and ankle into the most anatomically efficient position. They are similar to insoles but are biomechanical medical appliances that are custom-made to correct your specific foot imbalance.

Expect 5-7 business days.
We recommend wearing your custom orthotics as often as possible, the more benefit you will get from them. If your daily activities vary to the extent that you change your footwear, then you should have a second pair of custom orthotics designed for that specific activity. (I.e. going to the gym after work)
The symptoms of poor foot mechanics can include any one of the following:
For the most part any shoe that has a removable insole will work with your custom orthotic. Just remove the insole that came with the shoe and replace it with the custom orthotic. TOG also offers a carefully-selected line of footwear that can accomodate custom orthotics, as well as custom sandals and clogs that have your prescribed device built right in.
Custom orthotics will not reduce muscles tone. They will help position your foot so you will be using the right muscles at the right time, minimizing fatigue and allowing your muscles to be used more efficiently.
Injuries
Direct impacts or trauma to your feet may require orthotics as extra support to speed up the healing process. High Arches of the foot If you have a very high arch, it can stress the muscles of your feet and cause knee pain, shin splints, and plantar fasciitis.
Arthritis
Osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis are the two main types of arthritis that require orthotics. They can cause discomfort in your feet and poor alignment of your foot. Orthotics can help to correct the poor alignment and to reduce the accompanying pain.
Bunion
These are very painful bumps that develop at the base of your big toe. Using orthotics with a wide toe box is good in reducing the pressure in the big toe.
Flat feet
Your chances of developing foot, ankle, and back pain are high if you have flat feet. Orthotics can help support their feet and promote a proper foot position.
Plantar fasciitis
This is one of the common causes of heel pain. Orthotics can support the feet and reduce the pain associated with this condition.
Back pain
When the arches of your foot are not correctly positioned, it causes the inward or outward rolling of the foot. It can lead to back pain.
Heel spurs
This is a condition where there is bone outgrowth at the bottom or back of your heels. They are extremely painful. Orthotics can help reduce the inflammation caused by the bony overgrowth and support your foot.
Bursitis
This occurs due to the inflammation of the fluid-filled sacs located in your toes and heels. This leads to pain and discomfort.
Hammertoes
This is a side effect of the bunion, and it causes pain in the second toe and the ball of the feet.
Diabetes
People with diabetes may sometimes develop diabetic neuropathy, characterized by losing sensation in their feet. Orthotics help to reduce the pressure and excessive stress in the feet.
